Training Day 1

3 hours

            1hour- Safety

                        General Safety

                        Pistol Safety Considerations

                        Range Safety

            1hour- Fundamental Shooting Styles and Techniques

Proper Firing Grip, Proper Sight Picture, Proper Grip, Weapon Manipulation, Trigger control, Weaver vs Isosceles, Standing, Kneeling, Prone

            1hour- Hands on Dry Fire Drills

Lunch Break

            ½ hour- Safety

                        Pistol Safety Considerations

                        Range Safety

            1 ½ hour- Intermediate Shooting Styles and Techniques

5 Point Pistol Draw (Grip, Clear, Rock, Lock, Squeeze)

Target Engagement and Ammunition Management

Keeping the Gun in the Fight

Speed Reload VS Tactical Reload

Firing Weak Side

Moving From the Hot Spot

Firing From Improvised Cover

            1hour- Hands on Dry Fire Drills


Requirements- 1 instructor or assistant instructor per 10 students

6 hours

0800- Show at Arms Room to draw weapons

0830- Depart arms room for Range 

0900- Occupy Range  

0910- Open Range 

0910- Load Magazines

0940- Prepare Firing Line

0945- Dry Fire Practice 

1000- Range Goes Hot 

1000- 5 Point Pistol Draw Firing

1050- Water Break / Reload Magazines 

1110- Clearing Malfunctions

1130- Speed Reload / Tactical Reloading

Lunch Break

1300- Water Break / Reload Magazines

1315- Firing Weak Side

1325- Side Step and Fire 

1335- Ready Firing Line / Place Improvised Cover / Fire From Cover

1350- Range Goes Cold / Clean up Range

1400- Range Checkout / Movement to Arms Room

1430- Turn in Weapons

1400- Release
